03/31/2008 - CIMB-Aviva Malaysia implements Sycor Insurance Solution

CIMB-Aviva in Malaysia, a joint venture between Aviva and CIMB Group, awarded SYCOR MALAYSIA Sdn Bhd a contract to implement the Sycor Insurance Solution (SIS). The deal signed in February 2008 establishes SIS as a premiere brand in implementing IBM-FileNet process and content management among insurance companies.

Commenting on its selection, Michael Ibach, Managing Director of Sycor Asia, states that, “This project is a significant step for Sycor in Asia to capture a new geographic market and consolidate our position in the Financial Services industry leading to increased brand awareness.”

The contract was significant as Sycor secured the agreement amongst stiff competition with other well-established vendors. Services to be provided include image capture services, business process management, and document storage and retrieval. These services will improve CIMB-Aviva’s claims processing, policy management and ensure compliance.

CIMB Group is Malaysia‘s second largest financial services provider, with a market capitalisation of EUR 4.16 billion. Aviva PLC is the world‘s fifth largest insurance group.
